Today as part of NGS (National Garden Scheme) the village of Stanton in the Cotswolds opened up 17 gardens, ranging from two Manor houses, Stanton Court and The Burland Hall to other equally devine resident's.

For a mear £6 gave you the opportunity to look around and admire these gardens and all proceeds, along with a cake sale and plant sale went to a variety of local charities.

I arrived early and headed up to the top of the village past The Mount Inn pub and went exploring for a little while.

I was so glad I did,  what spectacular views.

I even did a spot of knitting.

Then I headed to my first garden at Clarity Farm. Perched up on an elevated position it had incredible views.

I then headed down to the top part of the village High Street to Honeystone Cottage.

The view down the high street could not have been more perfect and the garden itself was divided into many delightful sections.

Next I felt it would be rude not to have a quick full stop and sample and take a slice of delicious cake.  Just look at the selection that was available.

Now fuelled I was ready to head out again to the first Manor house, The Burland Hall.

Situated next to the village Church it was stunning.

I then headed to the plant stall and purchased a delightful purple viola plant for an empty pot at home.

Having made my purchase I headed behind the stall to Old Bakehouse, a hugh garden with a delightful vegetable patch that grew many delicious veg.

I then crossed the road and headed to the second mansion Stanton Court.

It is truly stunning.

This was the second picturesque place I decided to have spot of knitting.

This was a culmination of three things I really love, knitting,  photography and gardens.

I hope you have enjoyed my blog, please feel free to comment.
